ARTIST STATEMENT
Have you walked into something you were not supposed to see? Do you wish it would erase from your
memory? I do... I can still see that old, rotted shiplap dripping of the old wood frame of the house, that.
big shattered out gallery window that peered into the massive formal parlor room. On occasion I
vividly remember the smell of wet rotten wood and mold. Some places will stay burned in my memory.
for eternity. The paintings in this series are a representation of dread, angst and anxiety and personal stories I have either heard or experienced. Internally I
feel we all have experienced these emotions and the paintings are here to live on in my own.

ladder or stairs to reach it. But it remained open for all the years I visited the old wooden house. I
wondered what horrors lay in the attic of that old wooden house. Come with me on this journey, I’ll
